Polar Ice, you're a little harsh on the guy.

In my experience, what's often pointless is ringing and asking what's wrong! Not just with eircom - but virtually any modern company connected with electronics.

Often, the smart thing to do Polar Ice is, actually, quickly log onto a forum and ask others.

Yes, ideally, the first port of call would be the provider of the product. But we all know that's not the way it is...
