 New and running slow
Hi Everyone. After years of waiting and eircom's failure I finally got broadband (Smart Telecom) and compared to my creaky old modem it's worlds apart.
That said, I've been looking at some of the speeds you people are achieving on broadband and I think something must be wrong. I understand that despite Smart being uncontended, it can still suffer delays. I'm signed up for its 3Mb service and while not naive enough to assume my speeds would ever hit that - I'm only getting readings of 200+kbps whenever I run the speed test. In reality, my download speed for a file is, on average, 25-34kbps.
