Default Digiweb Woes

I would not know where to start about my woeful time with this company. Firstly, don't be surprised if your bank tells you that you are not paying them on a direct debit, but that they have your bank details and are taking the money directly. I had to cancel my bank card and get a new one in order to stop paying them.

Why did I want to stop paying them?

- They overcharged me for installation
- They misadvertised in their media campaign (there hidden VAT clause should have been included in the advertised price as it is now after the Irish advertising standards board upheld a complaint). Also, I had to wait 4 months for a connection after they advertised that it was 'available NOW in Dublin, Limerick etc.
- They charged me full price for the months before they had their telephone infrastucture in place.
- The installer and one of their technical advisors both told me I would be getting a telephone handset from digiweb. Later their accounts department rudely told me I was 'mistaken'.
-€5 for a printed statement through the post????????????????? They havent even had the decency to mail me a contract. (email or land mail)

I went out today and bought an Irish Broadband plug and go 500kbs wireless unit to tide me over till I can organise another decent connection. I hope diginet gets boycotted for their bungling, lies and bad business.
