Your network connection to anywhere is dependent on the slowest link in the chain; for example it takes about 12 hops to get from a Digiweb-based IP addres to eircom.net, so if there are problems with any of the 12 points in the link then you'll see a degradation in the performance. Try running a tracert to your destination server or URL, and then try pinging each of the addresses that come back, to see if any of them are experiencing significant lag times. If not, or if they all ping back slowly, then I would say get onto Digiweb themselves. In my experience they are pretty prompt at sorting out these issues. Good luck. |
