The above is my latest test results, as you can see I am getting nearly 2.9MPS download which is excellent, line quality is at 99% but can anybody explain what the 3MS and 155ms are?

The 3ms is your 'ping' in milliseconds as explained above. The 155ms is the
maximum pause time or off time during the test. The smaller both these readings
are the better. The perfect result, which Im sure nobody is getting, is 0ms and
0ms !
