Population of Finland: 5,223,442 (July 2005 est.)
Population of Norway: 4,590,000.
Population of Ireland: 4,015,676

I don't think it's down to the size of the market.
Those countries have very good broadband services for a population
the size of Ireland's.

It's just down to the infrastructure and telecom operators / ISPs,
quality of their copper lines (phone lines ), number of relays they
have etc etc.

While it is still very early in the development of irish broadband
services, you would have hoped that in this day and age they'd
developed a service that is consistent and near his european
counterparts performances.

Yet what you get is an overpriced package for an under-achieving
connection. I don't get it.
