If you are going wireless then ask the provider if you get a fixed IP. If you do then that is a first step. If they are doing NAT (Network address teanslation) at the base station then there is no chance of a good service. I know that Amacom and Nova networks in Cork do this. But Digiwab and
IBB don't - so why is there service ****e - well then ask about the backhaul network they use and you will more than likly see ESB Telecoms there. The cheapest wholesale bandwidth you can purchase.
Just my 2 cents. At the end of the day a residential service has no QOS like a business grade service.
