That is very poor. I would expect at least 750kbps on a 1meg line. I suspect
that your service providers transmitter is a bit of a distance away from you.
Your pings arent too bad but the max pause is far too long. Find out if someone
else in your area has the same provider and compare results with them.
Also have you tried positioning the modem in different places around the house
to see where the best signal is?
I assume you have checked your phone line for eircom broadband.
