The disconnects are severe enough to knock out my VPN to work, my VOIP and my GAMES. 5 days is a bit rough with limited access to the internet.
As ever, I will keep the readership informed, anyone else in the Tralee area having same problems, if so very interested in the Permanet response.
Oh well another day in the life of an Irish Wireless ISP's customer. (Bit of an oxymoron that, the customer bit)
BTW, absolutely no reference to any faults on Permanet website.
The sooner, COMREG gets over their "must whip Eircom" agenda, the better for us slubs down the country. DECENTRALISE COMREG, tehn at least those outside D4 would have assess to better broadband.
rant finished, over and out.
I lied, RANT not over, its now taken over 10 minutes to post this, cos of my ******* disconnects. Getting to point where I am thinking of starting a digital signal fire network. I got kindling, ( Damn those modems burn good, LOL), a mirror, a hill. |
I have had permanet installed since Dec 05, There were DCs issues until Feb06 but I can easily count the amount since. Overall given the nature of wireless the service is good. Anything is better than dialup/isdn given the fact that providers are limited. For anyone with a home network I would suggest looking at router setups/firewalls as I have resolved a lot of issues with permanet users, nothing to do with the service. |
