Service for Callidus Hi,
Because Eircom are not going to roll out broadband support in the Ferns, Co Wexford area in the near future, I too went for the Callidus service. At first I could not maintain a connection, the first bridge unit supplied was faulty. This was replaced with a better unit, still the connection was slower than 56K dial-up. Then the system would not connect at all, for three to four days I had no service at all.
Eventually I managed to get through to the technical support service and they told me that it was an IP conflict that was causing the trouble, some client had setup his own LAN using my IP's for his extra machines. Because of this six IP addresses were blocked.
Since I was given a new pair of IP's and a different gateway I've had no trouble connecting and the up and down load speeds are well up on what I'm paying for, don't think it's good enough for VoIP but for what I need it's good enough.
