I have the Clearwire 1mb package for a year now and I'm very happy.....to be coming to the end of my contract so I can bin them where they belong. It's all about contention ratio and how many people are actually using the service in your locality at the time. My service is basically unusable between the hours of 6 and 9pm. If you're a night owl you can get decent speeds from 2am to 7am......sometimes.

I've had numers readings of 1kb down and 5kb up. I've called them many times to complain but there really is no point barking down the phone at some foreigner who does not understand what you are saying when the problem is the sub standard network.
I have found a way of downloading from torrents but the speeds are terrible and as soon as clearwire see you uploading "large" amounts of data they disable your connection.

I live in Harold's Cross D6. I would not recommend Clearwire to anyone as even if you have good speeds now they will most likely fall as more people come on line in your in your area. If you're tied to getting a wireless broadband solution and live in a house I would suggest Irish Broadband's Breeze 1 or 2mb. I had this for two years and it was fantastic. They do not block anything and you have no download limits.
