I am surprised that the installer told you when installing the system that you could have issues with the phone service. It took them 4 months and 2 wasted service calls to realise that the issue was at their end all along - worth noting. It might be worth dropping to the 3Mb service to see what speeds you get there plus of course it will save you over €15pm. Which browser are you using to carry out the speedtests? Both IE and Firefox will give 2 different readings Firefox being the faster. With regard to BT you should read the section of the forum that deals specifically with them. It is an interesting read especially when BT has to use Eircom's bitstream product until LLU is unbundled |
