I'm with BT but have had several eircom.net email accounts from way back in my dialup days.
In the last couple of weeks I've been unable to send emails from the eircon accounts. I'd get a system administrator message saying mail was undeliverable. I also got a link to
The Spamhaus Project which informed me that email from my ip address was being blocked.
BT TS to the rescue. Eircon have recently blocked outgoing email from their account holders who do not use Eircon as their isp.
The solution provided by BT TS is to change your outgoing mail server details to mail.iol.ie which solved the issue.
This Eircon action without warning confirms my belief that they don't care about users and reinforces my intention to get as far away from Eircon when LLU comes to my next of the woods.
