 Perlico broadband limiting downloads??
my sister is in carlow with 1mb connection from perlico and her speed is fairly constant and consistant at approx 900kbps with very little problem from contention which is great
but when she tries to download any large files now it gets to about 5mb downloaded and then times out! she doesnt use any torrents or anything else just internet explorer and is trying to download pc suite from sony ericsson and also software from the HP site but it seems anything over 5-6mb will be "blocked"?
anyone have any experience of this or is there something she can do to get this working? the modem is a zyxel prestige 600 pluggged into the ethernet connnection on her pc. is there some setting that needs to be changed maybe? although she has downloaded large one-off files before without any problems.
