Right, i'm gonna stop complaining on here cause it's getting to me... I get weak you see... Dying spirit and all that. And i've only got half of S02E23 of lost! Which is of course, clearwire's fault.

Last thing I came on to say is that I purchased my connection in the local pc shop, under the illusion it did the things I wanted it to. The packaging would still have me believe this. I'm sure they're not breaking the law, but either will I when I tell them to stick it.

Thumbs down

For my CLEARWIRE he has a bad service, after 3 months I could achieve them to give me my speed for 2MB but they have closed the ports, I cannot consent to P2P, also them in their web page they would have to have FAQ where they inform as configuring a mail account and also that we choose the user and not them

Thumbs down My full review towards clearwire service

Hi All,
I am Clearwire user in Rathmines Area.
I would have to say that its really bad service.
1) Skype works only in the mornings
2) P2P restricted
3) sometimes internet has days off. Do not surprise if it’ll be down all day. It happened to me couple of times during past 3month
4) My Connection is 2mb, but it doesn’t mean its 2mb all time. Sometimes its less than 54kb, even though I got all lights on the Box.
Please find my test results below.

That’s My 2mb speed ))))))
Please consider that inet was down sometimes, so i couldn’t even do the speed test.

My final point would be regarding customer care.
I've called them 4times during past 3 month, they just took my exact details, and told me to expect the call from their technician.
It's never happened, each time they convince me that they call back, but they never did.

Regards,
Vlad

p.s. When i was typing this, my internet has disapared again. Oh I love clearwire.

Angry

I also live in Rathmines, at the beginning had good sign 5 lights but this month he has descended between 2 or 3 lights, I am tired of calling and they don't solve you anything, the speed is never of 2MB very bad service.
I have also canceled their subscription because they don't fulfill the contract
he intersects the sign at any hour of the day
they close the ports and you cannot download anything
I DON'T RECOMMEND IT

this its my ping with CLEARWIRE

Default clearwire sh*t

hi all clearwire people, i was sent here by clearwire support to test my connection, lol i have been using the 1mb for about 5months and it was ok, but im a die hard xbox live person so i went to the next 1 which was 2mb, not much but i only need download 512kb for xbox live, now iv been gettin lagg on the 1mb and rang them up, and they told me i need to go to 2mb but it might not fix the problem as they have not been setup with xbox live yet as they told me after i switched to 2mb idiots. now which is stupid is they sent me here to check my spead as i was on the phone complaining about the slowness after 30mins of switching me over to 2mb, it seems 2mb is slower that 1mb lol, but as i was on the phone complaining they asked my to do the test and of course i got 2.5mb when they were on the phone, and i said that was great, but when i hung up i got 0.5mb, i think they are messing with me charging me for **** service, here is my speed test i just done.

Yeah, i've got the 2mb - aholes just charged me $69 for my first month. Ahem... If you only sign on for 12 months there's an extra month charged as an installation fee. Hmmmmmm.

Nah, your xbox live will continue to crap up after 25minutes. Best times are around 7am-11am weekdays.

Why don't they post on the website that there's a 20gb limit on the performer package. Too little information. I rang tech support - was told to turn of my firewall and run 'tracert www.google.com'. Most of the call was the obviously uninformed tech staff telling me how great the connection was.One hour later I ring back and i'm told i've breached my 20gb limit - after a little complaining.

So i ring sales, and tell them it's not posted anywhere on the performer package page (http://www.clearwire.ie/cwi/product_...cts_id=966452), that there's a 20gb limit. No response other than there is a limit.

Whereas the freedom package does have the 10gb limit information stated.

I thought this kind of thing was illegal.

My connection is too slow to provide me with the same FAQ page I found yesterday on Clearwire.ie, stating that certain packages have no download limit. Which packages, it does not say.

I'll be complaining a little more, and starting a customer group soon.

www.modelsfortheprogramme.co.nr - yeah, my band's site, will have information on the whole thing. I'll post back here when I've got the details up.

Last edited by noodledog; 7th June 2006 at 02:01 PM.. Reason: Cause clearwire is so damn slow I can't make a new post.

Default Clearwire

I have clearwire im living in Killiney.Im getting the 2mb package deal at teh price for 1mb for 6mths.
its a lot more stable than Irish broadband .
i had endless problems the modems use to keep dying and not reciving or sending.
Much much happier with clearwire .
The service was very good and on the ball.
I did have one hick up but it was a site problem and was credited for the time disrupted till was sorted out.

warning do not go with clearewire broadband if u have more than 2 connections, example a pc and a xbox.(this test was with 1 connection only) as there signal is crap. iv reported them to the broadband board. they are advertising 1mb,2,mb,3mb and for all those connection speeds they only give 500kb-1.5mb, they are robbing people, i have rang them many times and never got replys, and no email replys. i spoke to a tech head and complained about speed, and he told me this,if ur paying for a 3mb package ull get 2mb or less speed, if ur paying for a 2mb package ull get 1mb+ or less, if ur paying for a 1mb package ull never see 1mb only 500kb- or 275kb. now they advertise these packages on there site they should now rename them to random broadband. because this is fraud....advise pay the disconnetion fee and go with some1 else. i know wireless is good but its random.

heres my speed test and i get the 2mb package. and im in carlow and they told me that carlow has the best connection in the country...ha ha ha. idiots allday yesterday i got only 200+kb
