sorry i have no simpathy for p2p and torrent users.... you have a wireless connection they never work with p2p or torrents well, there not supposed to. also ppl using p2p and torresnts is the main reason why clearwire service is so bad. good signal but theres always some fool leaving the computer on all night dling 30 torrents at the same time. of course clearwire should be able to deal with these people but they don't.

sorry to sound angry but my clearwire connection is now slower than 56k and because i know how to network sniff etc I KNOW its because some fool in the estate beside me is using p2p and dl at an enormis rate!

but clearwire arn't open at the min to get it sorted..... best thing stay away from clearwire....

Hmm. If you look on other sites you will learn that clearwire manages the ports used by bittorent and similar programs as to prevent copyright infringement and overload of the servers.

I've got the same thing happening. But that's hardly that guys fault. If he's paying for a broadband service then he's allowed to use it as much as he wants. The problem is that Clearwire don't provide enough bandwidth to cover their customers, pure and simple. How is it other wireless providers like Irishbroad band don't have that problem? Because they do provide the bandwidth.

Sorry mate but you are wrong

Clearwire block all p2p ports
Clearwire is completely oversold
Clearwire tech support staffed by muppets
Wireless BB is fine for p2p if the ISP provides the bandwith
I also have clearwire and believe me out of 6 or 7 ISP's i have tried over several years they are by far the worst.
I may have to move house again just to get back to a proper ISP!

you're not wrong there mate. When you ring customer support with a problem and before you even describe it they ask you are you cancelling you know you're in trouble.

Clearwire should be called clear dial up, the service sucks regardless if you D/L P2P or not and it is no ones business if people are using torrent. There is no excuse for the poor service provided or rather the lack of service provided

That would explain why they have not asked me for any payments for the last six months, I think (if the service is so bad you should not have to pay...so im not)

I finally had the pleasure of cancelling my contract after the year of dial up mascarading as broadband. I was put through to the cancellations department and was asked why I was not continuing the service.......so I told the guy in detail how bad it was......the amazingly low speed test results, the blocked P2Ps, the many days I was simply without a connection. After a five minute rant the guy then asked me did I know of anyone in my area who would like to take on my connection to save me sending the modem back........yes I'd really like to inflict this pile of sh*te in one of my friends. Anyway I'm with BT now and all is well.

I have the BT 2MB package now for 6 months and it's all good. My speed tests are always in or around 700kb and 1mb down. I was hoping for more but I don't get too bothered about it becasue it always seems fast when I use it and downloads are fast. It gets a tumbs up and it's a far cry from the clearwire days
