Default Ultimate Cleaner 2007

Hi there

I was wondering if anyone had any information on Ultimate Cleaner 2007 and how it manages to attach itself to some PC's? I have been told that some message board users are more vulnerable than others for example and that also using Firefox as a browser instead of IE would limit the danger of attacks.

Basically what I want to ask is are there ways to help protect yourself from getting this darn nuisance on your PC?

Thanks for any insight

Cheers
Joan

Thumbs up Ultimate Cleaner 2007

Hi Joan,
Just put 'Ultimate Cleaner 2007' into Google and take your pick. A good anti-spyware program such a Ad-Aware or PestPatrol, both free and updateable, should do the trick for you. For immediate help on removal just follow the link:

Spyware and Adware Removal - Ultimate Cleaner 2007

I use both the above programs and you should be able to download them from such sites as CNET.com. You will find CNET at:

Free Software Downloads and Software Reviews - Download.com

Good luck,
Dickiesam

PS: Just realised you may not find PestPatrol at CNET, so try eTrustŪ PestPatrolŪ Anti-Spyware or type PestPatrol into Google to find their web site.

You are very welcome Joan. I forgot to mention that since that annoying program 'announcement' is downloaded via a trojan, your Anti-Virus program should have stopped it. I assume the A/V virus definition files are up to date?
If you are not doing it already, I suggest a daily update if your program allows for automatic updates or at least 3 times a week if you have to do it 'manually'.
Good luck,
Dickiesam

i had experienced no to use software like PC boost, ultimate cleaner and another craps.
First thing what u have to remember, use administration account just when U setting up your machine, or adding software, for all another time just use nonadministrator account.
Second use some AV, and thats all.
