I installed it today.
First thing that happened is BSOD right in the middle of the installation
I guess that caused all the problems that followed.
So I tried again, this time about 20 minutes into the install I got an error.
Sorry I dont remember the code but I googled it and tried the solutions, none worked.
Here is a screenshot of one failed solution attempt.

I hadnt really done anything with Vista that could have caused these problems(as far as I know). No tweaks or hacks or anything like that.
But never fear I found a solution.
Re install Vista and apply the service pack.

It worked.
How much of an improvement is it?
Who knows all that messing about took a few hours and once it was done I went back to XP.
I will post again with my thoughts after I have installed all my programs again. For tonight Ive had enough.

I've installed it with no issues. Don't see any difference at all really. Thought it would fix the issue with connecting to wireless network. It takes ages (dell 1520) to connect to router.

Install last week only problem I had was i lost my sound. All of my non microsoft software lost there sound. The fix was to uninstall the sound card in hardware devices and then let the system re install the drivers. Otherwise I can't see any difference in the system.
