Doesn't Skype have full screen option with a camera? I use x64 (no camera drivers for my cheap and old webcam) so I can't check right now. I'll borrow a webcam from work and check it out. I'll post my findings here
I use Trillian to manage my MSN, Y!, ICQ and AIM accounts, but these days its mostly Skype. I think even people who are terrified of PC's are willing to use Skype for the free phonecall option, and that in turn is leading them to try other functions, such as the chat. Also, the conferencing option on Skype is excellent; we used it extensively in my last workplace and found it to be very useful.

Yes ive used skype with the full screen video option. Its not bad quality but could be better.
Yep, their latest one does - so long as you have credits you can send SMS. Don't know what the cost of each SMS is though - never bothered bying Skype credit.
i use MSN/Yahoo for those without Skype, and I use Miranda IM to manage my accounts (it does all the others as well).
As for calls/SMS i use skype, its great, for calls i have bought a Voskey Call Center which allows me to connect my normal phone to the PC. it allows me to make/receive standard and skype calls, and since the phone is cordless, i can make a skype call in the garden.
Since starting using GoogleTalk I have have been able to have IM converstations as well. Or perhaps its a feature associated with my gmail account. Is this an option on the poll?
