Question LCD DVI-D Issue

Havin a little problem, maybe someone can shed some light in it for me...
Just got myself an LG L204WT 20.1" wide LCD with DVI-D and VGA connection. When I connected it to my graphics card (geforce fx 5200) through DVI-D, it can't set the native resolution which is 1680X1050. Max resolution I can get is only 1280X1024 and it's all scaled and bity. Even tried forcing it but still won't work. Upgraded geforce drivers and even got a driver for the LCD (which usually isn't neeeded anyway) and that didn't help. Works fine over VGA but I'd much prefer to use DVI-D. Any ideas?

Ya I know it's not a great card (apparently the whole 52xx series is pretty dodgy) but as it happens it's doing the job grand! Had to create a custom timing setting and use something called CVT reduced blank and that did the job. It's running both my new and old LCD with no problem - except that when windows is starting up (at a much lower resolution) the picture goes very distorted, looks like a dodgy TV reception, lines going accross the screen etc. Long as it's not doing damage it does't bother me really but think I might invest in new card aright though. Any suggestions? Nothing too fancy, I don't play games much anymore really.

Thumbs down Not a suitable contribution?

Good morning Blacknight,
Don't like the sound/feel of this one. A sales pitch is not a suitable post for this forum. Is this yet another attempt by a spammer to flood our inboxes?

I know this is off topic but.....

Welcome to the 419 Eater

Some guy decided to get his own back on the spammers.

(Personally I think some of it is a little unusual, but hey maybe a little embarrassment is deserved for this muppets who waste our time!)
