Default Pppoe help please

Im aware this is probably a stupid question but I am trying to set up my eircom broadband connection and don't know the password.
I looked it up at their website and it says to enter eircom@eircom. net as user name and broadband1 as password but this does not connect I run the diagnostic and says i have problem with my pppoe.
Do they send a password to you and how long does this usually take from when you get your router.

Thanks for the reply I think I already reset my router you press in the button in the back AND wait till the light at the front goes red right? does a guy come out to set it up or is there usually a long wait for them to be able to connect you or can you usually be able to log on after you get the router.

The 2 week waiting period from order to delivery or the modem from eircom is usually the time it takes them to go out and enable your line for broadband so out of the box you should normally be able to connect

Depending on the router/modem they sent out to you, it can vary as to what color the L.E.D. is supposed to be. However, the standard is usually green, and you normally have to wait for it to stop blinking and to stay on before there'll be a connection.

In the meantime, the eircom username and password is standardized, unlike other ISP's who give you an individual one. Therefore, eircom readily make it available for look-up on their Support pages.
