Slow Speed Since Upgrade ?

Hi,

I'm currently on the 1MB package from Digiweb and when €ircom did the line upgrades on Saturday night, the speed went from 108kB/s to 324kB/s !

I queued up a few files for download & left it running when i went to work and have come home to find it downloading at 7kB/s !!!!!

Have reset router ect.... but no difference.

I am assuming it's to do with Digiweb not giving upgrades on the accounts until the 6th April and perhaps their system are being worked on to facilitate the upgrade and hense the loss of speed.

Has anyone else experienced slow downs on Digiweb since the upgrade ?

Just did the speed test and here are the dissapointing results...

Download Speed: 202kbps
Upload Speed: 196kbps
Quality Of Service: 31%
Round Trip Time: 4712 ms
Max Pause: 938ms

Yeah I have the same problem, haven't checked before upgrade but its certainly slow now!

digiweb are not very relaible of late.i am with them too and there service is less that satisfactory.

I'm on the homejet package and speed increased since yesterday, Monday 4th. I'm getting about 845 kbps down and 100k up when I run the tests and confirmed download speed on giganews.com test to be 850-860 kbps.

Great, eh? Paying 89 EUROS excluding VAT @21% per month for an unstable dial-up connection.

Digiweb must be laughing all the way too the bank! :-/

Looks like I'll be a ex-customer very soon. Smarttelecom is up and runing in my area :-)

I would pick a stable, no connection ratio 2Mbit connection over a "3Mbit" digiweb connection any day....

Am Very happy with Dsl Xtra service myself, just got upgraded Speed gone up to about 2400kbps was previously between 1500-1700. I know they quote 3000kbps but have to consider network traffic and all that!

You think thats bad I have their metro 3mb wireless and ive just run the tests and here is the shocking results

Download Speed: 162kbps (my old 512k connection gave me better)
Upload Speed: 226kbps
Quality Of Service: 15%
Round Trip Time: 120 ms
Max Pause: 813ms

I then run the test again and these are even worse

Download Speed: 88.7kbps (not much better than a 56k modem)
Upload Speed: ??? thats what i got could not be determined
Quality Of Service: 2%
Round Trip Time: 162ms
Max Pause: 2359ms

MY ADVISE IS STAY WELL CLEAR OF DIGIWEB THEIR SERVICE IS ABISMAL

yeah here too and im pretty annoyed about it. i was on the 1mb package, got upgraded to the 2mb package, and then for some reason they just took the upgrade away from me, now Im on a 1mb line again, but paying for a 2mb line!!! Plus at peak times the speeds drops dramatically, like below 300kbs.

I emailed them and they said they logged a report with eircom and are waiting on them! Anynone else been on to them about it?
