digiweb, a good story I don't mean to quibble with other posts on this forum that found fault with digiweb. I just want to say that my experience since I was provided with broadband metro is completely satisfactory. Up to October last I was at the mercy of the stone age dial up hell that is Eircom. Sorry, you're too far from the exchange so no broadband for you pal.
By a geographical quirk, I am able to see the Digiweb mast in galway and since then I have always on broadband, good quality for very little money.
I never exceeded their download limit but thirty gb a month is plenty for me.
So look at the difference .
Last year, every second day in an internet cafe, big bills from Eircom, crap service.
This year, fast home broadband, stay on as long as you like , comfort.Never in an internet cafe..
Any government canvassers that call to my door will be asked, If Northern Ireland can achieve 100% broadband penetration, why is the situation so awful down here?. Not just me saying that , its the European Commission.
What is the incentive for eircom to roll out broadband when their revenues are much higher from screwing people on dial up?
It will never be a political issue because once someone like me gets broadband,it ceases to become an issue for them.I just feel sorry for the forty per cent or whatever geographically speaking thats left behind.
I would have submitted this post earlier, but decided to give the service six months to see if there were any hidden bananaskins.
For me anyway there weren't |
