Default slowdowns around 8 pm, Cork area with digiweb DSL

Anyone else noticing slowdowns around 8 pm with Digiweb DSL?
I have a 3 mbit connection but around 8 pm 300 kbit is about the maximum I can get, additionally I sometimes notice packet loss, a quick analysis shows that packet loss doesn't happen between my modem and Digiweb, but more between Digiweb and the rest of the world.
Does Digiweb have too little bandwidth available?

Hi Aldert,

Could you mention dates you had problems with? Is it permanent slowdown or it just began around 12/11? Is this still the case?

Regards,
Sergiusz

I made this little script that checks my speed, ping and packetloss every hour
and it seems to be less of a problem now.

It was a problem for the last 3-4 weeks, maybe longer. I also noticed that there where some changes in the traceroute I did right about the time the problems disappeared

Yes, if you had any speed problems in the past they should be resolved now and hopefully will stay like that. I'm only very surprised that you said about 3-4 weeks.. I know it was the problem last week which really was the case and have been resolved within 2 days.

You never know what way you are going out. Routes are constantly changing and load-balancing.
