Default Digiweb gone to the dogs in waterford ?

Hi Guys

Anyone else experiencing some dire problems in Waterford.

I always had great resilts and full speed with them up to a few weeks ago.

In the last few weeks from powering on the modem it takes at least 30 mins for connectivity then decides to shut down for an hour or 2 periodically throughout the day.

I thought maybe a problem with the thompson modem till I got this reply

Quote:
Our engineers are still investigating this issue, unfortunately there is no time frame for resolution. It is affecting other customers also.

Don't hesitate to contact us for an update.

I also do work online when not in the office so this is a real frustration

Im reluctant to leave them (If it will be sorted soon) as I always had great results with them up unto recently and had poor results with others before.

Anyone else in same situation ?

Thanks guys

You don't say wheither you are on their DSL or Metro wireless service. If you are using Metro the issue you describe has happened before, but in Naas, Kildare. It did take a while to sort it but it took changing the Thompson modem on 2 occasions to do it. DW had to admit it at the end. So it would be worth contacting their support by phone while at home. They will tell you if your modem is the problem or not. However you say it takes approx 30 mins for the modem to set up when it should (according to Digiweb) take less that 1 minute. So it could be the modem that is at issue after all.
