Default Digiweb and Metro

Hi and thanks for all the info. I have struggled with Digiweb Wireless for over 3 years. I recently discovered I have been using a 2.4 unlicenced service which explained the constant dropping and resetting . I have had my service upgraded only to discover that my upload is insufficent for VOIP. I have now been promised the Metro service due to be introduced in the next few days (!). Has anyone experience of the 3MB service and VOIP.

First of all the if you were using 2.4ghz this does not give reason as to why your connection is dropping. 2.4 can just be as good as 3.5 or 5.8 when used correctly. Secondly Digiweb do not use 2.4, they only use 3.5 for backhaul and business customers, and some times local customers. normally they use 5.8 for local access which is very clean, no other users. The problem with your upload speeds could be down to the digiweb node not being able to "hear" your antenna clearly due to trees, leaves, etc. What is your download speed like?

My question was about an opinion on the Metro service and specifically about VOIP. I am therefore surprised by your answer. I had a 2.4 service because Digiweb installed a 2.4 service. I dont have a 2.4 installation anymore. Anyone with 2.4 utilities knows that they are prone to interference from other 2.4 devices, of which there are many in domestic use. My download speed are as stated by Digiweb and I have no complaints. Again does anyone know about Metro 3MG and VOIP. Thank you however for your interest.
