Default Eircom dsl gone to the dogs again

Hi , recently my connection ( eircom 2mb home package ) was very stable and would hardly ever drop. Last few weeks it has been dropping constantly , but the most annoying this is now my pings to any servers outside ireland have DOUBLED , 80 dos ping to the nl , where as it used to be 40. 90 to germany , and alot of packetloss everywhere.. the ping is "stable" so i doubt its a overload problem on the exchange , but its preventing me from playing online.

Im from the south east region , any1 else had this problem or no whats causing it? Iv tryed ringing eircom but they say theres nothin wrong.. typical.

Any responce wud be great , cheers

The only responce i can give you mate is i am having the same thing in Dublin north. Most evening when i get in from work the dsl is out and can take an hour or more before its on again and ping time's are through the roof. Its stopping me playing online aswell and with COD4 due tomorrow i am not happy with it at all.

I'm having the exact same problem, living in the south east with a 2MB connection, last night I was getting speeds of between 10Kbps - 20Kbps and ping time to their DNS server in Dublin was through the roof. Rang them this morning got no answers just the same old Sh*t of "we will look into this for you"

Are there any good BB providers in Ireland ?

If your talking about consistency then the answer has got to be No.

Mine started yesterday,
speeds are all over the place and Customer support are clueless,
they won't forward my problem to engineering because even though I have had a stable Line for 6 months getting 2.63 on a 3mg line consistantly the Eircom speed test shows I'm getting 200kbs and above but thjey won't even look at my line tests which are all over the place ranging from scroes of 47% to 85% on the next line test.
Are we ****ing stupid in this country to allow all these providers to do want they want all the time just for their profit.
