Default shiny new 3347 box finally solves problem

I've had a terrible problem for the last month or so.

Whenever my netopia USB yolk was switched off and on, it would take three hours to reconnect.

I tried everything. Went through all the troubleshooting steps with Broadband Support. Had two engineers out.

In one way, it wasn't too bad - I just never switched it off at night like every other appliance...

But it worried me.

Finally a supervisor decided to send me a new box, to rule that out.

It's the 3347 - with no USB, ethernet only plus wireless link.

It took me a while to get it up and running, but that was because the ethernet card on my computer wasn't set up.

It works like a dream.

Everything seems much more stable.

If you have one of the old boxes and are experiencing any instability - I suggest trying to get them to replace it.

It really is always on now!

I joined up when Eircom Broadband was still a new thing.

Glad I have now got have the latest gear.

Really - everyone at Eircom was baffled, the two engineers, we really tried everything.

Suddenly, the new box solves the problem.

Draw your own conclusions!
