Eircom Business Enhanced Package

Hi,

Anyone else having serious problems with Eircom's business enhanced package?

Business Enhanced Speeds are supposed to be DL/UL - 5MB/512kb however from the speed test on this site (which is great) I am only getting averages around 260kb download and 210kb upload. This is disgraceful especially for the costs.

We have it installed in one office and recently got it installed in our second office. Both offices are in the same business park but have extremely different speeds.

Any ideas?

Mind you, the upload speed indicated a bad line. that should be fairly constant

On this package you should expect download Speeds of between 2MB and 4MB (megabytes) or 200KB and 400KB(Kilobytes)

note 200-400kb. they're covering their asses. If it is not a line problem then they will say that you are in the advertised range, and there's nothing that you can do about it.

Broadband in Ireland is really bad and overpriced.

Try troubleshooting the issue using the broadband help on their website. Dont hold your breath though
