Default Monasterevin eircom broadband a disaster

Hi all,at this stage im desperate as i have literally tried everything.
For 3 weeks now im having terrible trouble with my eircom bb.
Im on 3mb/284 kbps paying 55 euros per month and have done so for 2 years now.
The last 3 weeks at peak times my ingame pings are 300-700 where as they are 30-40 during the day.
Dload speeds are 300+ during day but drop to 30 kbps at peak times.
I live very close to the exchange so distance is not an issue.
At this stage and after numerous speed tests morning noon and night i reckon this is contention kicking in now that Monasterevin is rapidly expanding.
I have mailed and rang eircom on almost a daily basis to pester them into something as are friends from the town with same problem but they still have not done a thing.
My question and concern is can they do something at the exchange to improve things?
I know many people in higher populated places and they get the usual 30-40 ingame pings and good dload speeds so why are we in Monasterevin still suffering?
Can and will they do anything to improve things?
Ive tried 3 different modems,3 different computers, disabled wireless to my laptop and kept the desktop on ethernet still no joy
My neighbours have the same issue as have friends in the town.
How long can this go on for

Default Eircom Broadband

Having read you posting this evening, all I can say is that it would appear that your problem is not just a local one. If you check some of the others threads on this forum you will see that this is happening all over the country.

It would seem that there is nothing one can do except pester the ISP all the time.

I am with BT and have the same slow service. With speeds up and down like a Yo-Yo. At one time had no service at all for one weekend.

I, too, changed my modem/router and it has made no difference at all. Ts service are not coming up with the answers.

Just read this: BT 3Mb - Dropping connections

It should apply to all Irish ADSL customers.
