Default Eircom Cap Removal?

Hi guys,

Frankly I'm confused. I'm not an Eircom customer, but merely a curious consumer who likes to window shop. I see on one of eircom's web pages that they've cited "unlimited monthly usage" (see here).

BUT...

I was curious, so I clicked the 3mbit package which brought me here. There I found it to say: "Monthly allowance: 30 GB download and unlimited upload.".

Does anyone know which one is correct? Have eircom finally abandoned the curse of the cap? I'm thinking maybe what they mean by "unlimited monthly usage" is that it's not time constrained, as opposed to the amount of data you may download. If that's the case, they really should word it better. Either that or I'm stupid!

If they have capped the cap, it won't be long before other ISPs follow suit. If not, I apologize if I got anyone's hopes up. I just have to know, but I'm pretty sure at this point that they've kept the download allowance, and I got mixed up with the wording.

Thanks,
Seifer.

I think they worded it to suggest unlimited downloads but it means you can use it 24/7 as long as you don't go over the quota.

Yeah, just as I thought. Ah well sure, we can only hope that they remove the caps sometime in the near future like they have in the UK's top package with BT.
