Eircom Technical Support Having recently cancelled a contract with a wireless provider due to poor service.I signed up for Eircom Home proffesional.After installing my router I ran the blacknight speed test,I was getting download speeds of 400k on a supposed 3000k connection.I rang Eircom Tech support and spent 20 minutes on hold.I then spent 20 minutes talking to what I can only describe as an idiot who rather than fix the problem kept asking me was their a problem with a virus on my pc,there is no virus on my pc,when he could not resolve my issue to my amazement he hung up on me.I immediately rang tech support back and got another IDIOT,He said I should be getting much higher speeds on Home Proffesional.He spent Ten minutes Trying to fix this and when he couldn't fix it he totally contradicted his earlier statement and said that my download speed was good,He was clearly out of his depth and could not fix this,I suppose I should be thankful he didn't hang up on me!!!!.I asked to speak to a supervisor and was promptly told no one was available.I said goodbye and rang customer service and downgraded to home plus.I have to ring tech support tommorow due to my router hanging up and I am not looking forward to that. |
