Slow Broadband in Clonee area

Hello all,
I have be getting consistently poor broadband with ESAT BT for the past month

22/07/2006 10:43 201 kbps (26 KB/s) 108 kbps (14 KB/s) 14 % 20 ms 1380 ms
13/07/2006 18:40 84 kbps (11 KB/s) 103 kbps (13 KB/s) 5 % 22 ms 1444 ms
02/07/2006 18:22 205 kbps (26 KB/s) 116 kbps (15 KB/s) 1 % 24 ms 2374 ms

I have been on to tech support a number of times, they have been helpful, but indicate that the problem is with the Eircom exchange at Clonee (which is an off shoot of the Ashbourne exchange).

Has anybody had a similar experience with slow broadband (esp ESAT) in the Clonee exchange area?

HiYes, I too am suffering severly with EsatBT .... and very very slow downloads ... getting to the point where it is almost impossible to use and every day seems worse. I'm in the Ashbourne area so it seems that we are both suffering from the same problem.

Hi guys,
Your not alone, there is a rake of people who have got onto BT about this and there is a major fault with an exchange in Sumerhill. The fault has now been racked and should be fixed within a week i have been told, but then we are waiting on eircon so dont hold your breath. Haed over to www.boards.ie and click into the Broadband section and look for the thread BT Speeds and you will get a full history there.

BTW i am also in Ashbourne
