I will second that too. Still cannot get up to date results after tests. Hopefully a solution can be found soon, as these results are crucial if there are issues when contacting the ISP's technical support

From what i can see, Blacknight disown the problem as they say the speed test is operated by a third party

If you're referring to the recording of the results in the control panel - we aren't "disowning" anything and have flagged it with our technical team.
However as we run this site as a free service it is not as high a priority as you might like

Thanks for that, but this has been flagged for some time now.You might let us know at your leisure how your tech people are getting on with the issue

They're busy with other projects.

When they have the time to look at it they will look at it.

You can still run tests - you just may not be able to record them at present

Yes, it saves the result when i do it from my laptop, so I have now reenterd my username and password into the site on my PC but it still wont save the test result, so what can the problem be?

anyway the problem is'nt with Blacknight, but they might have some suggestions as to what the problem might be. Its just that i like to be able to print out these results and my laptop is'nt connected to my printer

Default Speed test

John

Which version of Windows are you running on your PC and laptop? Like you I tried it on another PC and it worked. However this PC was running Vista and not XP. I then tried it on another XP machine and again it did not work. So it seems that the results will only appear on a Vista machine and not a XP one.

Maybe Blacknight might test this out. I might also add that 5MB is still not included in the speed drop down menu and I am not sure about 10MB either.

Thumbs up

hey there,

speed test is very useful indeed if a little disconcerting at times (NTL's fault though in my case!), fair dues & thanks to Blacknight for providing it with no strings.

Will be very interested in the results of the ISP's, am reaching end of teather with NTL but am of the opinion of better the devil you know for the moment!
Would it be a useful option to add an area to the dropdowns to see who rates best where?

later

We've been talking about possible new features to add including ratings etc.,

Unfortunately our developers are currently up to their eyes with high priority projects, so I can't give a timeline on rollouts / updates yet.. As soon as I can get them to dedicate some time to the site I'll let people know.

In the meantime please feel free to make suggestions. If they're sane we'll try to include them
