I don't subscribe to the apple thing at all and went for Creative Audio's 20GB Zen Touch which I have a year now. When I got it I knew people who had a iPod at the time and they thought the Zen was much better but I know the iPods have changed since then and have better features than before.
What really annoyed me about iTunes is I can't put them on my Zen which is why I only downloaded 2 tracks.
One of my mates bought an ipod for xmas but when he put itunes on
his Hewlett Packard computer it screwed with his cd and dvd drives.
Some sort of a conflict with a virtual drive that itunes uses I think. Im
not sure. Since then several people have mentioned that this is a common
problem with Hewlwtt Packard computers. Neither of his drives were reading
cds.
Anyone else with a Hewlett Packard come across this problem?
He tried it three or four times but with similar results, using a system restore
between each attempt. Hes not a happy man cause his laptop is the same make.
I got the 40gb two years ago and it cost at the time 480 euro direct from apple.com/ie. If you're a student apple have a student discount online store at http://store.apple.com/Catalog/uk/Im...utingpage.html where products are slightly cheaper.
That depends. I know some people who've only had to type the college in that they're attending and then shop with no other requests for proof. Others have had to send an email copy of their student card. I know for example that the 4gb ipod nano which is normally 259 euro is only 238 euro on the education shop. You save a little.
I would not recommend an ipod to anyone buying an mp3 player, I've filled a few with music for friends ipod, creative zen, iRiver and from those I find the iRiver best haven't got to play with an iAudio yet but from the spec that would be my personal choice. Anyone looking for an alternative to iTunes, Ephpod is quite good and because it's still in beta stages it's free. Ephpod allows you to copy music from ipod to your hdd which for some reason iTunes does not.
I can't stand what I've seen of ipods.. especially the ipod shuffle, why make the fact that you can't choose what you want to listen to a selling point?!? I don't like the software interface, either. I have a 40gb creative zen and a 1gb nameless pen drive thingy to take around when I don't want to carry something immense!
psp is so much better than ipod as it will do all ipod can do & a lot more,i refuse to pay very high prices for after all is just a harddrive with a crappy user interface........also the video ipods screen is WAY to small once again psp wins.
