If you have this mobile handset, could you describe the issues you having?

However, if you are looking to try out a Windows mobile device, Microsoft has a Windows Mobile 6 emulator which can be downloaded from here, which simulates most of the features of a physical device.

The only drawback with the emulator is that it will not give an idea of what it is like using it for phone calls or what its battery life is like. However, it will let you try out windows mobile applications (using its virtual SD card) and go online, e.g. to test Pocket Outlook, mobile Internet Explorer and other Internet based applications.

Thumbs down palm 500v

my major problem with this handset is it is not syncing with my vista computer through usb. the handset is not being reconigsed .this can happen sometimes when syncing music and at first it works and then the usb connection goes dead. my computer is only 4 months old so i know it is not at fault. i have read elsewhere on the net that the palm device is prone to this problem ?? the palm is only bought last christmas.it has brought windows blue screen on vista computer.... more than once . it is now having the same problems with xp desktop !!! i am hoping to get a different device in a month or so ( mwg device i hope )because i am a bit fed up of this palm device . i reformatted the vista computer so palm device will not be used on this anymore

Default Palm 500V sync Issue

Hi Martin,

I was experiencing a similar issue, I also have Vista. However, on researching i found that I needed to update the Windows Mobile Device Centre. There is an update abailable from Microsoft, and that did fix my problems, and I haven't had any problems since.

Question palm 500 v

i have been using the latest mobile device centre and latest driver for device but it still is not working. I will be getting a new device soon anyway. I would suspect there is a problem with the mini usb connection to the phone. i think this is a hardware problem and not software issue. this device for me has been very disapointing. i am looking at getting a HTC or MWG device .

Default palm 500v

since commenting last time with Martin, my palm 500v has developed the same problem. and there doesn't seem to be a solution available short of returning the device (to vodafone for me).

haven't heard any reports on how they work with the mac black.

Story of my life

Some things work beautifully with the Mac - others just refuse

I still don't understand why Nokia haven't released a Mac OSX updater for their firmware

*sigh*
(Excuse the rant )
