Got a Sony Cybershot DCS-S90. Researched cameras on CNET before purchasing. Very happy with it.

My only grip is I bought the Sony case from Amazon without checking it first and while it is the case recommended for this camera, it is far too big, I should have saved the money and got the Lowepro case which fits it snugly. As usual wise after the event!

Mine is a Canon Powershot A95. 5.0 Mega. Had a A80, I think, before that.Bought in USA and stolen from baggage at Murcia airport in Spain - lesson learnt there! Upgraded memory to 512MB as only came with 32MB. Very happy with it. Don't use even nearly all the features

Mine's a Fuji FinePix A370 - very happy with it, it's 5.2MP and can produce some pretty astounding quality images! Only comes with 32MB xD card which is a bit silly really - upgrade to a 128MB card though and am planning to get 1GB later on.

The whole memory card thing is a bit of a con! It would be more honest of them to say "memory card not included" on the packaging!

Talking of honesty, I purchased my camera from a well known chain (I did ) in December for 279.95 Euro and in the January sale it was there with a "SALE" tag priced at 299.95 Euro, talk about "Rip-off Ireland" I was going to alert the Office of the Director of Consumer Affairs but the reciept was already illegible due to the termal printing and having been kept in my wallet in my pocket!

Brilliant site for buying memory is http://mymemory.co.uk They are based in Jersey and don't charge VAT, excellent prices. Have bought cards for phones, PSP and my Sony camera at a fraction of the cost here.

I got a Canon eos 350d in May. It's fairly idiot proof which suits me .I can't remember what memory card came with it (if any) but I bought two 1 gig Cf cards for it from a vendor on ebay. The standard lens is adequate but I plan on getting a better lens later. You can get better deals on memory if you are willing
to buy outside Europe.

At the moment, have 2 digital cameras, an older Olympus E100, and more recent, an Olympus E-300, SLR with lenses, and I'm delighted with the results I get from it.
