Hello out there!!

Has anybody got one of the new Nntendo Wii playstation?
How much fun is it and where can you get one?

I'm thinking of getting one for the winter, what with no possibility of outside sports......i can swing at something inside.

I was trying to get one before christmass but they were sold out everywhere. A friend bought one and says its great fun! Unfortunatly he wont let me borrow it lol.

Had to go on the internet to get an auction Nintendo but have yet to receive it. I watched the internet and realised that the workers in the shops buy the Nintendo and flog it for more money on the internet, they even include the receipt from their shop. So people are making money out of this malarkey!

Does anybody think that the choice of name is a wee bit dodgy?

The web already have some discussion over the name Wii as being insipid.
I think that if it works for some people, then fine, the purist and hard core gamer would like something Posh but I think the wii is marketed at the lower end of gamer who aren't so sophisticated and does not need badging to boost their Ego like a lot of others who are driven by elitist branding!!!

i have a wii i had it booked in xtra vision sinse October and it is good it gets u tired if you play it for a while but the sports game gets a little boring after a while, zelda is good fun but it doesnt make good use of the wii control pad still a great game and looks great (but its no ps3 or xbox 360) the best game i have played on it so far is warioware smooth moves which is a great laugh but its not much fun to play alone the wii is a 2 player console it should come with 2 pads (or 4 if u wanna count the 2 parts) hopefull in the next while the games will start to look better because at the moment the graphics are between the ps1 and ps2 when the wii has to power to be like the xbox, the old 1 of course. so if you have a lot of friends that come to youre house the wii is well worth getting and if ur not into great graphics in games its worth it but if u want a better up to date console go for the xbox 36o or ps3 which is out next month

The wii is fun and the games will as all games get boring after a while, that is why Games developer are kept busy by us. For the price the Wii is good for my purposes, i am not inclined to get blu-ray for the moment or for a few years at least, not usually an early adopter, learnt long ago as a student when i was collecting HIFI that you will never be able to keep up from all the technology. I still have 300 cassette tapes and countless VHS tapes, never did use the minidisc, but have collected DVDs and CDs, now the CDs all have been lumped into the I-Tunes, wonder what do i do with the DVDs, once watched, nothing much new to see. So onto blu-ray at some time in the next five years....meanwhile my daughter loves the wii but she loves Broadband computer games even more!!!! and she is only 3 years and 10 months.
I am definitely old time electronics wiz...but i do have an Ipod....that is another story.
