Default Steam Install paths?

I've got steam installed on C:\ which isn't a very big disk. It tries to install all games onto the same drive. Is there any way to get it to install onto one of my other drives?

Steam will only install games into the Steamapps folder, located within the Steam folder.

So I would need to uninstall Steam and reinstall it?
