You may not think you need the expansion but EA have done it again, When you get the expansion you also get more toys (unlocks) which can be used in the original BF2142. If you are a keen gamer you will need as many toys as you can. Plus if you are a league/cup gamer you may need it to play on certain maps. Well as for your question have anyone tried it YES would be my answer.

Actaully I'm gonna have to change my mind on that one. One of my friends got it over the weekend, and he likes it. Also since I posted that I've started playing bf2142 again. tbh though it's only really worth getting in "game" where it costs €8.99

sup guys i have a server running both2142 vanilla/Northan Strike look for us in the advanced tab and type in irishbf2.net we are a very busy server so if u cant get on just keep trying, we also have a public Teamspek Server info ingame see u there..

Hey Dixy I didn't know that you come on this forum. I should probably add the .:iE/ tags to my name now, it just I don't come on here often and for some reason this forum don't show me on the member list even though I'm the 5th highest poster here (Blacknight doesn't like me anymore I'm guessing).
Anyway Irish E-Sports still has a bf2142 server, we also now have a Counter Strike Source server. If you want the ips just pop over to our forums
it would seem he is but getting him of our TS is harder than we taught....... jk our server is still going strong if u guys would like to loose them tags irishbf2.net in the search box will take u to us
As far as i can work out it has a lot to do with the lack of good new online games available at the moment a lot of people are playing the likes of bioshock singleplayer and just not bothering with ts.
wich TS would this be then? we have 2 second one came free with our server but no one from our clan seems to join that one they seem to prefer the pvt one we have for our own nattering
Well on the Irish E-Sports teamspeak we can have anywhere from 5 to 15 people on every evening, but recently we've been on the lower end of that scale even though we now have more members. I thinks it's just as Dixy said that there are no new good multiplayer games out now, it's just still good old css, cod2, bf2, & bf2142.
I guess everyone is waiting for bigger and better stuff that's due out before the end of the year.
