Default Can't Connect to Internet
Hi,

A friend of mine is on dial up using Eircom as ISP. He can connect to their server but when he opens internet explorer, he just gets a message that he is not connected to the internet. I have checked the settings & they appear OK. Any ideas?

This is a stupid suggestion, and I'm not saying you or your friend is stupid!, but did you make sure to check that IE is not set to "work offline"?

Perhaps maybe it's something with IE itself? Or maybe try using Mozilla Firefox. What OS is he using?
