Default Which Anti-Virus Software Do You Use

I downloaded Norton 360 last April and had nothing but problems. Everything slowed down to a crawl and 'program not responding' messages became the order of the day.
I have now dumped it and installed McAfee and everything is back to normal.
I have asked for my money back but dont hold out much hope.+

Hi,

Was using AVG, but for some reason this became a bit unstable, so I switched to AVAST, found this to be very user friendly.

I had some computer problems in the last few weeks. I really thought it was a virus and I was adivsed to get all sorths of Virus scanners etc. I downloaded HitMan Pro and after a 7 and 1/2 hours of downloading and scanns. It came up with just one Spyware problem. Turned out it was my ISP's fault (Lastmile BB) But after doing all the downloads/scans etc. I have discovered a Great Anti Virus programme. Kaspersky.... It takes a bit of getting used to but by hell does it work!! Hats off to Kasperskey. And trust me LastMile (my ISP) is totally CRAP!!

I had norton 2006 security suite and it took forever for the pc to start up.
Then I switched to ZoneAlarm SS but it felt light and flimsy so now I'm using
Ca Security suite,

Bit Fidilly to get the system fully set up and the installation was confusing as They seemed to give me 2 Installation discs either which you could install from.
It also comes with a multiple computer license which is handy.

No problem with the firewall interfering with games either.

I agree.
"F-Prot" and "trend Micro" are there but others like Kaspersky and Nod32 are not.

Hi All,
I have used Kaspersky Suite for a couple of years now. Though I have to say you get what you pay for. Kaspersky is quite expensive compared to some others. Having said that it is value for money.

I've used Free AVG for years, also use Spybot-Search & Destroy and AdAware 2007.
I regularly run all three, and check for updates in Spybot and AdAware every other day. AVG updates sometimes on it's own, but I still just click it when nothing much going on. usually every day I haven't noticed an update.
I've never had any trojans, viruses, only minor plips that it says do no damage, but I still delete these.
Also think sometimes good housekeeping on your computer helps a great deal.
