Yes it is good news.......BUT....Digiweb are only responding to UPC/Chorus/Ntl who last week started offering 3, 6 + 12 Mbps broadband at exactly the same rates that Digiweb are now only offering.

I'm a two year Metro 1Mbps customer. Very happy overall. I might now upgrade to the 3Mbps Metro which has now doubled to six meg @ 35 Euros per month, thats quite good.

UPC have a better contention ratio @ 17:1 versus 20:1 with Digiw.

Also UPC have a monthly dowload limit that resets to zero every month unlike the crap 30 day rolling system that Digiw use. This download method used by Digiweb is the only reason I'd change to UPC and I might yet....................

Using Digiweb Metro Xtra 5Mb is now 10Mb

Happy enough I suppose but whats the use with the download cap remaining the same?
I have been hovering around within a few GBs of my limit for about 2 weeks now unable to download anything of substantial size.
Does anyone know the contention on the Digiweb Metro Xtra 5Mb(10Mb) package?
I cant seem to find any info on their website.A link would be nice so I can see where they have hidden the information.
Thanks

But I found their service to be dirt and for many in the area.

lucky to reach 150kb/200kb/s on a 6meg package.

Yep it's ridiculous, download caps should be increased with it also.
