Default feck eircom

ok people heres the deal. it seems eircom has the only right in this country to supply people with a phone line and if you want to switch to another provider you need to request them to allow you to do so, and they are not even under any obligation to do so. well i have had enough of this which is why i am looking for your signature so that i can email it to the minister of Communications Marine and Natural Resources noel dempsey T.D so as to give every other broadband and pone provider the rights to install and connect telephone lines. It would also help if you give your e-mail address but if you do not wish to do so that is fine.

Your right in that the majority of people in this country seem to fork over wods
of cash in exchange for a poor service, without questioning it! ....and thats not
just for broadband, its for a lot of other services that are not up to scratch
either.

There are a few cute people (ie. the ones charging for the crap service) and a
lot of sheep. Im trying hard not to be a sheep. Shop around I say. As a last
resort leave the country like our friend martin above.

Indeed Feck eircom. In their latest bastard attempt at stopping their only worth while competition ( Smart) they've blocked a majority of smart customers outgoing calls.

Yep smarts extra 3Mb is just until the end of 2006.
Its unusual actually as they've previously only offered up to 6Mbps /512Kbps. Perhaps next year they'lll start taking full advantage of the ADSL2+ technology that they're using and offer the maximum 24Mbps /3.5Mbps This is something most other DSL providers can't offer as they still use older tech like ADSL and RE-ADSL which offer up to 8Mbps/1Mbps and 5Mbps/512Kbps respectivly
