hi all can anyone tell me what is the minimum speed that you can have in order
to hold a conversation voip/skype

hi oddsometimes, I'm using Blueface voip and experience best service when the speeds are 100 kbps each way. A lot depends on the QoS, any dropped packets result in poor voice quality. The original plan was to use Voip uniquely when moving to Ballycotton but the broadband service is not reliable enough to use exclusively, so we stuck with the land line also.

hi reidyd thanks for reply and yes i would definitely say stick with the land line cause when you start to think that broadband is picking up in ballycotton it lets you down again

The lower your latency the better the reception. With Latency above 100 ms you will find the quality affected and anything over 150 ms will be unusable
