Has anyone info on Vodafone 3G broadband?
My friend got the modem and is trying to set it up.(with great difficulty I may add!)
He lives in an area where no broadband is available!
All info greatly appreciated.

I have seen positive reviews. They just uped 3gb to 5gbs that you can download per month....still think this is begining of something very, very good....but its not there yet.
Three(3) also had a fantastic review in Irish Independet, data card is cheaper then Vodafone.
I will personally wait till the 3rd player O2 comes into the market,
By the end of the year picture should be clearer, I hope

Default Vodafone 3G

Hi everyone,

I'm getting speed tonight from VF 3G 576 kbps download and 438kbps upload.
Couldn't get broadband any other way and this suits me fine. Downloading music in 2 minutes rather that 15 mins on dialup.
Worth the €50/month if you love surfing. Have bought in December 2006 and got on the unlimited package which really is unlimited, downloaded movies at no extra charge but a bit slow for movies - approx 2-4 hours bepending on size.
Just make sure 3G is available to you before forking out your treasured dosh.

HI,
I have used the Vodafone 3G card.
If you are mobile with a laptop then the best is to use the GPRS only mode.
I was able to keep a connection sucessfully from Cork to Dublin using this method.
While stuck in traffic at the redcow sending emails
If you are stationary then try the 3G or the 3G preferred option.
Maps are available at vodafone.ie.

Default Vodafone 3G

Hi,

I also got 3G for desl top & it is far faster than my previous satellite. Also don't need extra dish, which pleases my better half. Just on the border of reception, but have had no probs at all. A few install issues at first but help desk really helpful.

A little bit late, I had Vodafone but last week switched to O2. AT Home its as fast as my digiweb metro 3Mb!

Right now it says

2697 kbps (330 KB/s) 77 kbps (10 KB/s) 90 % 88 ms 92 ms

Vodafone was only connected at 661 kbps

Im in Drogheda.
