Default Broadband availability in sligo/strandhill?

Hi all,

Can anybody give me any tips on broadband availability/quality in strandhill or other parts of sligo?

I'm looking into moving to sligo area. I'm living in dublin at the moment and the main obstacle is that I need a fast reliable broadband connection for work. I've had lots of hassles in the past getting broadband in the past so I want to check and research all my options in advance.

Which providers service the area and what is the quality like? How long does it take to get setup?

From a web search I've found fastcom who have a wireless service - are there any options?

What is broadband coverage like in other parts of sligo?

Any help is much appreciated,

cheers.

AF

Default Broadband in Sligo/Strandhill

Aidan,

Fastcom provide a wireless 2Mb and 3Mb symmetrical service (no phone line needed). Connection is normally completed within a week. Fastcom provide service to most parts of Sligo town and county.

Conor.

Default Actually no, you're wrong!!!!

Fastcom (you) cannot actually provide those speeds can you!? i have had fastcom for a year cos i can't get anyone else. Myself and many others are all having speed problems, that of standered dial up speeds.

You send your guys out to repair the prob, they do the work and still slow!

Basically you need to stop advertising something you can't provide, or upgrade your tech. Up to you i guess but there must be some law against it.
