Default Ripwave in Cork City

Hi,

I'd like to find out about the service that Ripwave customers experience in Cork city.
I live in Cork, Wellington road, by St Lukes, and although I get a decent signal, half way up, I get 56kb/s on the downlink, which is poor !
Any testimonies on the Ripwave Cork City service are welcomed !!!

here is my letter to IBB about ripwave in cork.

Hi! I have had Ripwave for a week now and the connection speed is poor to say the least.
I get a download speed of everything between 27 kbps and 160 kbps. The upload speed have been even worse from
non exsisting to 30kbps.

I have called your support line and been told that it will be fixed within 2 days first time last Thursday when I
spoke to a guy that told me the "firmware needs to be updated and that's the reason." he also tried to upgrade my modem
remotly with no joy.

Then I called again Monday and spoke to "Katrin" who tried the same thing with upgrading my modem, with no luck, she
promised to call me back the same day or the day after but failed to do so.

So I called again. Same story "we are working on upgrading the network and we need to upgrade your firmware on the modem"
So I asked "why can't you send me out a new modem with the correct firmware? It's not suppose to be like this and you guys promised me
this a week ago." Then I just go the reply" does your connection work? If so I have to charge you 20EU for sending out a
new modem".

What is this for customer service? I have to pay extra to get the product I ordered? I myself work in customer care and this would not
be tolerated.

Regards,
