Default IBB black box

Hi guys
I was thinking about tidying up my room and the biggest mess is around the internet routers.
Is there any way that I can get rid of the IBB "black box" as they call it and replace it with another device that will be a router as well. I want to but new 802.11n wireless router and it'll be cool if I actually could have only one device instead of 3 that I have right now.

Thanks for your help

u can't get rid of the black box it's ur modem and ibb won't work with out it. Then all u need is one router for wireless(don't know why ur usin 2). I would get a netgear wireless wgt624 if ur into gaming and so on
Hope this helps

The alvarion unit isn't a modem, it provides power to the radio and acts as a passthrough to the ethernet port of whatever it's connected to.

That's it, it has no networking functionality whatsoever.

re: jimmyjoejohnson

it's close enough to a modem even if its a power supply unit with a ethernet connection on it. I was been basic without complicating the task (it's programmed by computer), try answering the question he asked rather than picking what u think are flaws in people's replies! Surprised at ur lack of interest in the main piont of the topic since u work for ibb

I already answered the question by telling the OP that the black box isn't a modem and no stee it's not even close to a modem it's just a passthrough device that gives the radio on the roof power.

That's it... it performs no networking functionality whatsoever, just a passthrough. So the answer to the original question is no, you can't get rid of it. Sorry if I didn't make that clear enough but I thought I had already answered that question.
