Default IBB and call of duty 4

i have recently become an online gamer using call of duty well in november and ibb has done wel ping of 50 and below to dutch servers but now in the past few weeks, i have been receiving bad pings at aroun d half 4 and 5 everyday of around 120 which makes the game virtually unplaybale due to lagg etc really irratating. i have been on to ibb and they said there was nothing wrong the porb should go away but it hasnt i rang them again today and they asked me to email screenshots of my ping and what not to them so i did . is anyone else having ping or gaming issues on ibb?

I dont have IBB but you could try the irish E-Sports servers hosted in Dublin at 78.137.160.11:28930 for some TDM or the pam modded S&D server on 78.137.160.11:28940 and see what pings you get to Irish servers

Is it a fixed wireless IBB connection by any chance? Wireless is never going to be as good as a copper cable. With that said, if you read around any Irish forum about broadband you will this topic regarding IBB and gaming pop up. The two don't go together... simple as that.

The reason your having problems after 5pm is because people on your contention are arriving home and using their broadband. Your probably on 24/1 contention which means you have to share your line with up to 23 other people. Most of those people are probably at work during the day so you have most of the line to yourself and so no lag issues. As these people arrive home and go online your getting less and less of the line each time until eventually gaming becomes unplayable. It probably frees up again after midnight. There's not really much you can do about it bar move ISP or move to a higher pack with no contention.
